Understanding The Different Pnr Status Codes And Their Meanings

You check the PNR status to verify your train reservation. A 10-digit PNR number, which is specific to each ticket issue, is assign to each ticket that you book through IRCTC or an Indian Railway reservation counter. The train ticket itself has it printed on it.

Your Train PNR Status may differ from when you last checked on your phone or when you bought the ticket. To do it, you must download one of the official railway apps for Android phones created by the Centre for Railway Information System (CRIS).

The Indian Railway Enquiry system will always return one of the following 14 codes when you check the status of your train ticket by entering your PNR number, which represents the current reservation status. Your train ticket's current status display here.

Description for PNR Status Code.

1CNF Your confirmed train ticket will show up as It. Additionally, your coach and seat numbers will be displayed. At a later stage, seats and coaches are occasionally assign. Also, Check how to check the train coach position.

2 WLIt  Your ticket is on among those list of those who are awaiting confirmation. You could get a berth if and when they become available (which happens when the railroad adds extra coaches or when seats of a particular reserve quota don't fill up until the train's chart is prepared). Two WL are display. The first one indicates the status of your Train PNR Status at the time of booking, while the second one denotes where you are right now on the waiting list. If your situation doesn't get better, i. e. No one may board the train if their tickets not confirm. Up until 30 minutes before the train's departure, you can cancel a wait-listed(WL) train ticket.

3 RAC Passengers who have a reservation against cancellation (RAC) or RAC status on their train tickets may board the vehicle. The RAC allows passengers of the same status to share a berth. You may also be able to secure a full berth if enough people cancel their tickets.

4 TQWL In this case, however, you have made a reservation through the Tatkal Scheme, similar to a waiting list.

5 WEBCAN you still haven't received your refund. In addition, you made a counter reservation for a train ticket and then changed your mind online at www.irctc.co.in.

6 WEBCANRF signifies that you have received a refund for a ticket that you purchased at a railroad counter and then canceled online.

7 PQWL. Those whose train tickets have not yet been confirmed are on another type of waiting list. People who have this kind of waiting list ticket should consider themselves extremely unlucky because they will only be able to get accommodations in a reserved coach when someone else with a confirmed tatkal ticket cancels their ticket, which is obviously extremely uncommon. In other words, the likelihood of getting a confirmed seat is very low. While waiting for the final reservation charts to prepare, do not give up hope; continue to check pnr status 10 digit.

8 GNWLPNR with a general waiting list status confirmation. When tickets that have already been confirmed are canceled,

9 RLWL These are the tickets that are given out for transit between intermediate stations. High likelihood exists that these will be verified. People who see Remote Location Wait List have a good chance of receiving a Train PNR Status Confirmation. Typically, a set number of seats are set aside on trains to travel between two specific stations. Most of these seats are still empty. When a chart is made, the RLWL list is quickly cleared. Obviously, the availability of seats is important.

10 RSWL With little chance of  confirmation, the railroad issues train tickets with the status "RSWL" (Road side waiting list). Only customers who make their reservations from the train's source station up to a smaller station along its route are eligible to receive this ticket.

11 NRNR It indicates that there are no open seats and that neither the waiting list nor the tatkal quota will result in a seat being available. If the train status is already NR, the IRCTC next generation e-ticketing system won't let you make a reservation.

12 NOSBNO seat or berth. Basically, it is for child passengers. As there are no longer any seats available for kids under the age of 12, you must pay the full fare.

13 RLRL. You are aware that train tickets reserve 120 days in advance. The Indian Railway removes pnr status records from their database after 120 days, once the train has left, because they are no longer useful. Release use in this.

14 CAN Ticket is withdrawn. If a person purchased and then canceled a train ticket online, the information is displayed to them.
